Job Summary


Under the supervision of the Manager of Employee and Labour Relations, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a vital strategic asset and specialist for a designated set of clients, supporting their day to day operations.

Working within a dynamic and fast-paced acute care setting, the HRBP will offer guidance to managers on a wide array of policies and procedures, while also handling employee concerns within their designated client base.

The HRBP will possess extensive knowledge in Human Resources and Labour Relations, offering assistance and counsel on intricate matters as a trusted resource within the organization.

This position offers a Hybrid work schedule.

Exciting changes are happening within our HR department We're kicking off with the introduction of a robust new HR System (Workday).

We're seeking individuals who can help propel us forward, delivering strategic HR Business Partner support to take us to the next level.


Qualifications

  • Provides expert guidance and coaching on a range of HR topics including labor and employment regulations, performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, terminations, scheduling, grievance handling, recruitment, and other HR matters as needed.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the business operations within client groups to provide tailored strategic HR support.
  • Coordinates and leads employee engagement initiatives and facilitates action planning sessions for designated client groups.
  • Takes charge of both simple and intricate workplace investigations.
  • Provides leadership and assistance in interpreting Collective Agreements for both the leadership team and employees, collaborating with the Labour Relations team for additional support or expertise when necessary.
  • Cultivates professional and respectful relationships with Union partners while addressing HR issues.
  • Supports the grievance and arbitration processes for the assigned portfolio.
  • Actively participates in various Labor Management Committees.
  • Conducts detailed risk analyses on issues and delivers recommendations aligned with the Hospital's values and strategic objectives.
  • Assists in Occupational Health and Safety processes, particularly in complex returntowork and accommodation cases.
  • Mentors and coaches junior team members.
  • Undertakes other related duties as assigned, including special project assignments.
