Roles and Responsibilities

  • Examine blueprints, specifications, addendum, clarifications, RFI's and other attached documents that require quotation by the Project Quotations Department
  • Accurately identify and interpret products on job specification, scope of work, and RFQ documents in a timely fashion and to meet deadlines
  • Perform the quantity takeoff of project quotation requests in a timely fashion and to meet deadlines
  • Request direct pricing from suppliers and manufacturers after performing the takeoff
  • Create meeting agendas and meeting minutes for various project initiatives
  • Track & manage work completed onsite
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assist closely with the change order and purchase order requests
  • Work with the department's Administrator to keep accurate records of all project quotation requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Assigned Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with estimating/quoting tendered projects & submissions
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of plumbing & heating products sold by wholesale plumbing distributors
  • Excellent analytical skills with solid time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings, specifically mechanical
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Order Entry Software, and Internet Information Gathering/Research
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Established history of demonstrating the ability to pay attention to detail
  • Customer centric and dedicated to providing excellent Customer Service
