JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for administrative functions in the Materials Department.
- Responsible for daily physical inventory counts in the plant.
- Responsible for collecting data, upkeep, and enhancement of spreadsheets.
- Responsible for recording transactions and reconciling them for the Materials and Production teams.
- Responsible for EDI billing reviews.
- Responsible for receiving and RMA transaction recording (MRO)
- Ensure Safety Compliance.
- Responsible for CCAS including followup of shipments.
- Assist with internal and external complete logistics management.
- Be responsible for orders to our customers within the time frames for which the Company is obligated contractually. Coordinate with supply chain contacts to achieve optimum results. Ensure full utilization of interplant carrier and minimize partial shipments.
- Responsible for Supplier Management activities including intermediate releasing to internal and external clients, performing steel releasing, booking steel sheet deliveries, monitoring schedule attainment, and acting as the primary supplier liaison.
- Support the department with QAD/ Inventory management including reacting to over or under supply in inventory, counts and inventory of racks, review of setups, annual physical inventory, as well as weekly and monthly DOH reporting.
- Ensure inventory is maintained at a reasonable level (corporate targets) to facilitate customer schedules and accuracy of perpetual records is maintained.
- Assist with document control.
- Assist with daily 5S activities in the department.
- Support Materials team with all daytoday activities as required.
- Act as a backup to Materials Supervisor when required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Postsecondary education is an asset.
- Good judgement and problem solving.
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization skills and detail oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Project.)
- Good basic math skills.
