Job Summary:


Reporting to the CQI Risk Manager, the incumbent will support quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives and their accompanying strategies and communications.

They will also support strategic projects and departmental initiatives relevant to Services for Seniors


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Provide coordination, support and project management for divisional and departmental initiatives, projects, strategic priorities and committees.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives, research of best practices and integration of quality into divisional activities.
  • Collaborate with divisional, departmental and regional staff to establish and evaluate new business process improvements within Services for Seniors.
  • Track trends, analyze and obtain client/resident and stakeholder satisfaction data.
  • Support Halton Region's Older Adult Advisory Committee as the staff liaison and in keeping with their mandate to provide advice to Regional Council with respect to Regional policy, planning and services impacting older adults.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, committees and other engagement activities, including engaging with external consultants as required.
  • Develop high quality information for a variety of audiences including; researching and developing background papers, briefing notes, reports, and presentations. Manage processes and content for regular stakeholder communications such as electronic newsletters and updates.
  • Facilitate ongoing work required to comply with compliance and legislated requirements.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, possess superior time management skills and able to manage work flow in order to complete work on time and as expected.
  • Be selfmotivated and capable of working independently and in a team environment.
  • Be a key support for the Dementia Strategy, including researching best practises and implementation activities.

Skills & Qualifications:


Essential

  • Degree in Sociology, Health Aging and Society, Health Sciences or Administration, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality improvement, project management, change management, data analytics and program evaluation.
  • An understanding of standards as set out by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, professional colleges and other regulatory bodies.

Preferred

  • Master degree in Health and Aging, Health Sciences, Busienss Administration or related fields.
  • LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care and/or long term care.

  • Travel will be required, incumbent must provide their own transportation.

  • Current (obtained within the past six (6) months), original and acceptable Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen, by the first day of employment.
  • Current twostep tuberculosis test (obtained within the past twelve (12) months) by the first day of employment.
