REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE - OPERATING ROOM_

Stratford and Clinton sites_

Regular Part-Time B*_

- *Part-time B commitment: 22.5 hours in a 2 week period_

REPORTS TO:_ _Manager, Surgical Services_

DATE REQUIRED:_ _As soon as possible_

SALARY:_ _$33.92 to $35.97 per hour_
QUALIFICATIONS:_

Current Registration and Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse_
Operating Room Nurse Certificate from a recognized program_
Appropriate added nursing skills, i.e., medication, d/c IV, catheterization_
Asepsis Course, CPR_
Knowledge of surgical equipment/instruments/ procedures_
Two years recent operating room (perioperative) experience preferred_

ABILITIES:_

Ability to return to work within 20 minutes when on standby /oncall_
Ability to plan and organize effectively_
Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency_
Ability to work as a team member_
Ability to work independently_
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills_
Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing continuing education_
