Job description

We are currently seeking a full time Permanent Forman carpenter with experience in ICI, and/ or Agricultural construction.

Forman will be responsible for the following:

  • Daily onsite instructing of in staff and subtrades in Framing, interior and exterior finishing
- scheduling and coordinating of Labour, Equipment, and Materials

  • Quantity takeoff's of materials
  • Knowledge and Delivery of materials
  • Forecasting potential issues and resolving them
  • Thoroughly understanding of projects to quickly resolve and issues or questions
  • Relaying information to the project manager, or site super
  • Layout, grade setting, and instructing
  • Demonstrating proper construction techniques
  • Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
  • Ensure all personnel on site are operating in a safe manner, and are up to date on safety records
  • Tracking project and maintaining project schedule and budget

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years construction experience
  • Experience working on wood frame, steel, and concrete structures
  • Familiar with all aspects of construction
  • Able to read and thoroughly understand project drawings and specifications
  • Able to Communicate clearly with clients and management personal
  • Able to communicate clearly with subtrades
  • Able to demonstrate and teach junior staff
  • Able to demonstrate safe construction procedures
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Must have valid driver's license and transportation
  • Minimum Grade 12 required
  • Must have some own tools
  • Must read, write, and speak English
  • Must be eligible to work in canada

Assets:


  • Bilingualism (French/ English) considered a major asset
  • General Carpentry License
  • Post Secondary Education
  • Gold seal, LEED, Red seal, OACETT designations (1 or more)
  • Health and Safety training

Job Types:

Salary:
$70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
