This is what you'll be doing:
Cleaning instruments and stretchers/ chairs. General tidying of the department. Supporting Clinic staff by monitoring supply levels, and stocking supplies as necessary. Assisting nurses with patient care by cleaning and changing linen on stretchers/chairs as needed. Equipment retrieval from throughout the hospital. Other duties to support patient flow as required.


This is what you'll need to do it:

Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.


  • Minimum grade 12 education required
  • Must have previous ward aide or related health care experience
  • Experience with surgical instruments/medical supplies (cleaning/stocking) required
  • Must be able to diplomatically respond to customer requests in a demanding work environment
  • Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and organize and prioritize work
  • Flexibility and the ability to work quickly in a busy environment
  • Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Repetitive standing & walking, frequently pushing patients on stretchers, lifting boxes of IV solutions weighing approximately 30 lbs., and bending to clean stretchers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Satisfactory employment record and good attendance record required.

Salary:
$18.23 to $22.79 per hour
