Schedule: 30 hours per week (Monday through Thursday)


Salary:
$15.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

The student position of Carpenter's Helper will perform duties assigned by the supervisor such as; assisting with small projects in various school locations (installation of whiteboards, bulletin boards, building of millwork, removing old and installing new millwork), assist with the repair or replacement of paint floors, ceiling tiles, doors, overhead doors or locks, assist with the installation and replacement of caulking and weather stripping, assist with repair of patching and concrete work, and assist with repaid of coat racks, wall partitions and furniture.


Requirements:

Our summer student positions are made available through grant funding and to be eligible for this position, students must be currently enrolled in a secondary, or post-secondary institution or within six (6) months of graduation and must be between the ages of 15 and 24 upon commencement of employment (up to 29 years of age for persons with disabilities).

Must be capable of performing the above duties which may involve; physical exertion, moving/carrying objects and climbing up and down ladders.

Must possess demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
