Job Description:


AECOM Transportation is actively seeking a Railway Construction Manager based out of the Winnipeg office, with hybrid work arrangement flexibility.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Provide engineering, technical, and management support to the Freight Rail Group.
  • Provide assistance to other Transportation disciplines as project needs dictate.
  • Lead preparation of safety plans, proposals, design packages, tender documentation, cost estimates, schedules, and reports.
  • Coordinate field resources and act as resident engineer on large rail projects and programs.
  • Embrace project management principles and provide support to PMs.
  • Act as a central liaison between AECOM, clients, and contractors on railway construction sites.
  • Assist the design office with quality and constructability design reviews.
  • Supervise and mentor less-experienced team members.
  • Provide quality and quantity control on construction projects.

Minimum Requirements:


  • BA/BS and 4 Years of Railway Experience, or Demonstrated Equivalency
Preferred Qualifications


  • 15 years railway design, operations, &/or construction experience.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and other reporting software.
  • Basic competency in AutoCAD / Civil3D
  • P.Eng., CET, or other similar designation.
  • Prior Experience with North American Class I Railways & Regulatory Bodies
