Program Manager - Tegler Youth Centre

Hours of work:
PART TIME. Shifts will vary from 7am-12pm and 7am-3pm. Monday-Friday. Up to 25 hrs/week.

Wage:

$15/hour + 4% Vacation Pay

Job Summary:

A Kitchen Outreach worker at the Tegler Youth Centre will work with the kitchen team to prep and deliver bagged lunches to schools as part of the School Nutrition Program, and deliver monthly food hampers to families.

Multi-Tasking: Able to juggle competing needs and prioritize completion of tasks and projects.
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt as program needs and opportunities change with a joyful attitude.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide snacks and meals for children & youth
Make and deliver bagged lunches to Edmonton schools
Make and deliver food hampers to families in north Edmonton
Responsible for set up and cleanup of kitchen space
Build rapport with volunteers, schools, and community partners
Support Tegler Youth Centre special events for children, youth and families as needed
Other related tasks and duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

- Class 5 Driver's License

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long hours.
Excellent communicator
12 years of experience working in a kitchen not required but an asset
Experience driving a 12 passenger/cargo van not required but an asset
Standard First Aid certification not required but an asset
