PURPOSE OF POSITION


As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be a key member of our finance department and will be reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer.

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations. You will lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial/management reporting.

Your role will be critical in providing valuable insights to our leadership team, guiding financial decisions, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations.


SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and lead a team of accountants, providing direction, training, and mentorship.
  • Oversee daytoday accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll related functions.
  • Coordinate monthend and yearend closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support decisionmaking.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations of team members and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred or in the process of obtaining, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, Questica, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
