Responsibilities and Duties

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


The key responsibilities of the maintenance man include but are not limited to: -Provide immediate attention to any guest request; Direct liaison with all other operating departments.

-Respond to emergency calls. -Respond and follow up to maintenance requested.

-Inspect and ensure smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems in the hotel such as HVAC, swimming pools, and domestic water systems.

-Complete preventative maintenance work orders as assigned. -Identify and report problems that require follow-up. -Maintains accurate log and maintenance records (equipment and shift records).. -Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications and Technical Experience -Minimum five (5) years previous hotel maintenance experience required. -The ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments. -The ability to learn various technical systems. -Good knowledge of computers, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, wall paper, painting, swimming pool maintaining, guest room electric lock. -Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis, 50 lbs. on a frequent basis, and 100 lbs. occasionally. walk, climb ladders and be able to carry out demanding physical duties for the entire shift if necessary. -HVAC system (DDC) experience required, able to analyze and adjust system controls. -Competent in the use of hand and power tools -Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills.
