SUMMARY


As a Dealer must adhere to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) Casino Terms and Conditions; as well as other applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations.

Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and maintain a good report with all employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the corporation and complying with pre-determined internal control procedures. Is responsible for dealing the assigned games during the shift.


When working as a Supervisor will supervise area in compliance with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) Casino Terms and Conditions, and other applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations.

Assist in maintaining good public relations with customers and maintain an open-door policy with all employees. Comply with pre-determined internal control procedures. Responsible for the administration and day to day supervision and operation of the table department.

The responsibilities of a Supervisor also include resolving customer disputes, implementing bankroll adjustments when needed and updating the Pit Manager of all activity taking place on their designated tables.


QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, gaming rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, and reconciling, and distributing large sums of money. Within 90 days, demonstrated working knowledge of the game of Black Jack, and dexterity with Black Jack playing cards. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with Team Members and Customers.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduation from gaming training school or equivalent is desired. One (1) or more years of recent and related gaming experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid and current Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission Gaming License. Must maintain a current AADAC phase #2 training card and must be familiar with FINTRAC. Must also have a current Pro-serve certificate. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills are required


REASONING ABILITY
No decision making is required beyond the scope of essential duties.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


Essential duties involve performing physical exertion: dexterity with cards and chips, brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people while in an inside environment, which is frequently loud or containing high noise levels.


MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Various gaming related equipment including money chips, playing cards and automatic shuffle machines.
