About this Job:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer cedar sales into an established customer base
  • Sell cedar lumber into targeted North American markets
  • Create and add value by achieving further downstream market penetration
  • Coordinate with production manager and inside sales personnel to adjust sales mix to meet production requirements
  • Identify and develop value added opportunities that address production opportunities
  • Provide vacation relief as required

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a proactive ability to anticipate customer needs
  • Attend customer vendor meetings and sales events
  • Comfortable with making and receiving inbound/outbound phone calls
  • Ability to problem solve in stressful situations
  • Strong negotiation skills

Technical Skills:


  • A basic understanding of log manufacturing and cedar lumber remanufacturing is considered an asset
  • An understanding of logistics
