Responsibilities

We are looking for a DZ Driver to water grass, job sites, clean roads & do bulk water delivery at our construction job sites.

Based out of our Queensville yard.

Other responsibilities include:

Perform mandatory circle checks on trucks before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure
Follow instructions of the Site Supervisors at each job site
Use Company fire hydrant to fill up water truck as needed
Operate communication equipment such as truck cab computers, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers
Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial regulations.
Must be professional, respectful & courteous when dealing with customers, general public and coworkers
Must be dependable and be able to manage time effectively to ensure maximum efficiency
Must keep equipment clean and in good condition (cleaning materials provided & report equipment deficiencies to onsite mechanics)

Qualifications & Skills

We require a good safety and driving record and the highest degree of dependability.
Valid DZ driver's license & clean Driver's Abstract
Must be safety oriented and report to each shift with full PPE (CSA approved hard hat, safety shirt/vest & work boots)
Able to drive using a manual transmission
Able to work long days, flexible work hours & weekends
Must be physically able to climb ladder, carry rolls of fire hose & operate spray nozzle
Use of basic hand tools such as hydrant wrenches
Must have 3 years DZ driving experience truck experience
Ability to cycle into other types of DZ trucks as required (ie water truck & triaxle dump trucks)
Transporting liquid loads is an asset
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, coworkers and dispatcher
Must be able to follow directions and work in high traffic areas such as GTA
Aggregate experience an asset
Must speak fluent English
