Description
The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, soldering, wiring, and testing various components.

This includes the manufacture/ assembly of the electrical panel, pump/blower(s), the wiring of tables, testing of options, sub-components, final assembly, and quality assurance.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine established assembly methods.
  • Cuts wire to specified lengths using wire cutters.
  • Soldering abilities
  • Crimps terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using a hand or machine crimping device.
  • Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, plugs, condensers, switches, and solenoids
  • Installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units using a soldering gun and hand tools.
  • Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs, using an ohmmeter and other electrical testing instruments.
  • May attach headers, terminals, and mounting studs to etched circuit boards.

Qualifications:


  • Related postsecondary education (diploma) required i.e. electrical technician/technologist
  • Able to solder.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of and experience working with tools, concepts, and electrical methodologies
  • Electrical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Robust problem analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Team player
  • Able to bend and work on the ground as needed
  • Able to lift and move materials up to 25lbs
