The Singing Frog Studio has been producing feature films and animated series in 2D, 3D and even virtual reality for over 15 years.
Today, we are more than 70 artists and specialists involved in these enriching and ambitious productions.
Several 3D Lighting Artists are wanted to work with us on this innovative project, the ScreenX adaptation of a 3D animation film production.
This search is part of our continued growth while maintaining the desire to remain a human-sized company that cultivates a caring environment.
Hybrid:
Working at the Studio or remotely from the province of Quebec, Canada.
Expected to start mid-February 2023
Responsabilities
Reporting to the production director, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lighting the assigned shots in accordance with the Director's intentions and the CG Supervisor's instructions
- Match and harmonize the lighting of the side screens with the central screen
- Performs corrections as requested, using analytical thinking about his/her work
- Carry out the precompositing of the shots by making adjustments
- Collaborate and share best practices with peers and the CG Supervisor to determine the best techniques
- Report problems encountered in a continuous improvement approach
- Ensure that the established objectives in terms of quality, style and respecting deadlines and quotas are met
- Work in collaboration with other departments, such as Animation, Pipeline, Compositing.
Skills & Qualifications
Our next diamond will have to meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in lighting on 3D animation productions
- Knowledge of Maya and Arnold software required
- Knowledge of Nuke and Shotgrid software is an asset
- Interest in the technical aspect
- Good knowledge of colours and lighting principles (artificial, natural...)
- Attention to detail, methodical
- Good communication, organisational skills, teamwork
- Experience in lookdev or composition is an asset
