Description
While sheet metal cut/bend is about 80% of the role the other 20% is to:

  • Greet and service customers in the yard.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the yard to promote safety
  • Help with loading and unloading trucks
  • Counting product thoroughly that comes into the yard to be received
  • Any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Reliability (available for all our open hours Mon
  • Fri 7am 3:30pm)
  • High school, GED or combination of experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken
  • Ability to do physical labour
  • Customer service and safety focused.
  • Good team player and flexible

Qualifications (both required and that are an asset)

  • Valid SDCB forklift certificate or previous experience (we can recertify)
  • Valid BC driver's license would be an asset
  • First Aid level 1 would be an asset
  • Mechanically inclined

Work Conditions

  • Mainly outdoors and in shop
  • Ability to lift/move lbs

- metal shop: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- loading and unloading trucks: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • SDCB Forklift License (we can recertify) (preferred)
