The Systems Administrator will be responsible for Storage systems (IBM V7000 series required), Monitoring and Analysis, Server deployment (Nutanix Required), Operational and change tickets (Incidents, Task), Microsoft AD Domain Services, ADDS, CA, ADFS, RDS, WDS, IIS, WSUS, Microsoft Hyper-V (VM admin.

Required), SCCM, SCOM, Scripting: PowerShell, Generic Protocols, FTP server management, Docker/Container/Kubernetes/Ansible (preferred), LDAP, PKI, Ceph, Linux administration and troubleshooting is an asset, OpenStack (would like but not required).

Responsibilities:

Determine user needs and requirements, and recommend ways to improve internal systems
Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance, perform routine start up and close down, and maintain control records
Perform daily health checks and monitoring
Support and maintain existing Windows server based infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Exchange Servers, MS SQL Servers, and Hyper-V Clusters
Assist in patching hardware appliances, Windows workstation and Servers
Install and upgrade computer hardware, networking software and operating system software, and operate master consoles to monitor system performance and to coordinate the access and use of computer networks
Configure, maintain, and administer network switches, firewalls, and SANs
Participate as 24/7 On-Call support
Create and maintain department documentation and records

Qualifications

A university degree in Computer Science, college degree with a technical major, or equivalent
Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Windows Engineer or similar role required; hands on experience in an enterprise server environment preferred. Good to have Windows Server 2012 R2/2016 experience and Exchange 2016 experience
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification in Windows Server 2012/2016 preferred
Experience with virtualization technologies and Microsoft Hyper-V preferred
Must have a solid understanding of Windows operating system, server hardware, and networking fundamentals and Linux would be an asset
Knowledge of MS Teams is an asset
