Job Title:
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 2 Inspector


Location:
Mirabel QC


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 2 Inspector to join our esteemed team of independent contractors at GPSI.

As an NDT Level 2 Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our aerospace components, with a specific focus on water penetration testing.


Responsibilities:


  • Verify the calibration and functionality of measurement instruments before use.
  • Ensure that all preinspection operations are completed and documented on the work order.
  • Conduct inspections of components and products using reference documents and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Inspect incoming parts and products during manufacturing, up to the final inspection.
  • Perform First Article Inspection/Inspection Premier Article (FAI/IPA).
  • Ensure nonconforming parts are processed according to quality system procedures.
  • Conduct required audits within the quality system.
  • Provide advisory support to production.
  • Complete relevant documentation for nonconforming parts.
  • Collect and analyze shot peening data.
  • Inspect weighing bags for compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct nondestructive testing in accordance with certification.
  • Organize and report on the results of nondestructive testing.
  • Assume full responsibility for the NDT laboratory.

Depending on production, may vary between 0 to 3⁄4 of the work shift


Requirements:


  • High school diploma is mandatory.
  • Professional or college diploma in aerospace, mechanical, or machining studies, or 2 years of inspection experience in related fields, or training in Computer-Aided Design (e.g., CATIA).
  • Proficiency in liquid penetrant testing (FPI).
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, crane certification (NAS410 or CGSB), and WHMIS would be advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in the French language.
