About The Job:

H2nanO is expanding our operations team to enable the growth in deployment of our SolarPass treatment platform.

We are seeking experienced and ambitious technical operations talent to contribute to the development, deployment, and operation of these exciting new pilot and field projects.


For this role, we are looking for expertise in supervision and execution of field and pilot programs, with specific experience in oil sands and mining, or other heavy industry.


You will work with a talented team of engineers, scientists, and technicians at H2nanO and our partners to implement treatment systems, execute on-site and field operations, and support key client relationships.

Your work will include travel to field operating sites, including the potential for extended deployments on major projects in Canada's oil sands.

Your work will also help us grow and manage our site operations, calling upon strong capabilities for management of key activities and project team direction.

Operations Lead Roles:


  • Spearhead field assembly, commissioning, acceptance testing, and safety review of H2nanO's industrial wastewater treatment and air emissions reduction systems.
  • Operate and direct the setup and operation of process equipment. Assist with optimization, data generating test programs, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Build and maintain H2nanO's relationship with client field personnel. Assist in management of the different stakeholder relationships between H2nanO, clients, and other third parties.
  • Consult with contractor and industry partner technical, operations, and project management personnel during field activities.
  • Contribute to process designs, system specifications, and engineering equipment sizing. Assist with procurement and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and safe work protocols. Participate in project safety hazard assessments and reviews. Lead onsite and field safety programs.
  • Prepare and maintain field activities and data reports, sample chain of custody, and contribute to reports to clients.
  • Conduct onsite visits for treatment assessment and system audits and liaise with external parties such as suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Prioritization of safe work practice and contribution to a highquality, highintegrity work culture.
  • Readiness for extended travel to operating sites domestic and international, including projects located in Wood Buffalo, AB.
  • Working in outdoor and marine environments in variable weather conditions and seasons.

Preferred Experience and Skills:


College Diploma or Certificate, or Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering & Technology, Petroleum Engineering & Technology, Water and Environmental Systems or equivalents.


Experience of 5+ years or greater in relevant fields; preferably in whole or part in Canada's oil sands, or in similar upstream oil and gas, mining, or heavy industry operations.


  • Technical expertise and handson experience with chemical systems, process pumping and fluids handling equipment, and/or marine
