Position Summary:

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

- collaborating with Specialized Learning Supports and school teams to provide family support
- conducting student and family needs assessments
- providing parenting support through coaching, parent visits or community referrals
- providing support to families accessing medical/ external agencies with inquiries and follow-up
- providing post-diagnosis support and follow up
- arranging cultural and language support for students and school staff

Education/Qualifications:

- a diploma in Social Work
- active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) is required
- a minimum of one year related experience
- experience working with students and families in the elementary years, preferably in an educational environment
- knowledge of community resources
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Rate of Pay:

$2, $3,192.70 bi-weekly

Access to a vehicle for travel between locations is required.
