Description
Intrado is looking to hire a technicalProposal Writer to join our Safety Suite team. Intrado Safety Suite for K-12 schools is a comprehensive solution for end-to-end incident management.
Prevent, respond to, and recover from any type of emergency with services spanning unified alerts over IP-based endpoints, mass notifications, visitor management, reunification and more.
Essential Duties:
- Research, develop, and manage proposals ensuring adherence to company policies and established deadlines
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of the assigned technologies, products, clients, and services to assist in the proposal process
- Manage proposal pricing with the proper staff
- Conduct research about the customer's requirements to determine scope, content, and purpose
- Develop and format proposals and responses according to proposal guidelines, striving for responsiveness, quality, and accuracy
- Develop a proposal schedule and responsibility matrix for each RFP/RFI
- Assemble, edit, rewrite, format, and produce final proposal for delivery
- Ensure proposals are completed accurately and within established timelines
- Distribute proposals to appropriate staff, ensuring adherence to established project timelines
- Develop and maintain response information materials for RFP's/RFI's to use as base text to complete future proposals
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of department procedures
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, public safety, telecommunications, information technology, or related field required.
- Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience:
- 2+ years technical proposal writing, or technical documentation experience required preferably in Education, Public Safety, telecommunications, or hightechnology industries
- Experience managing the content and pricing for RFPs
- Experience collaborating with internal teams such as, finance, legal, account management, operations, and engineering for content and pricing
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Benefits & Compensation
The starting salary for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000 a year and will be commensurate with experience.
