Aramark Canada is seeking Food Service Workers to join the Dal Food team Dal Food provides the food service in each of the residence dining halls, and 13 retail locations across the Dalhousie University campus.

Reporting to the Manager, the Food Service Worker, will work alongside a team in one of the four residence dining halls to prepare and serve food to students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities:

Support culinary team in the preparation of food items
Serve customers on the line
Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
Clean and maintain all kitchen areas as per cleaning schedule
Clean and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and equipment thoroughly
May assist in receiving orders, stocking shelves, refrigerators, freezers etc.
Replenish, rotate, and dispose of food in accordance with FIFO
Ensure adherence to Aramark's policies and procedures
Support team members in other areas as required

Qualifications:

1+ years experience in food service considered an asset
Basic culinary experience including large quantity food prep, sandwhich or salad bar prep, pizza prep considered an asset
Strong customer service skills
Ability and desire to work as a part of a team
Repetitive motion, long periods of standing, frequently bending, reaching, twisting
Flexible; evening and weekend work may be required
