  • About the Role


Based in Ottawa or Toronto, the Specialist, Content Marketer connects business objectives to targeted audiences through interesting content for Payments Canada's annual event, The SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements.

As a marketing and communications professional, you understand the importance of protecting and bringing awareness to a brand.

You understand the need for strong partnerships, the value of education and awareness and how to reach audiences and open up conversations through a variety of content experiences.

We are looking for a talented content marketing specialist to join our corporate communications team.

Your goal will be to help us raise the brand and reputation of The Payments Canada SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements through strong content marketing that educates, connects and inspires our audiences.


  • What You'll Do

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Support the design and implementation of creative content marketing strategies based on sound methodology in support of Payments Canada's annual event, The SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements;
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to grow interest, awareness and understanding of The SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements, particularly focused on the benefits of modern payments;
  • Build brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content;
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships, internally and externally.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Postsecondary education in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field;
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a corporate marketing and communications environment and able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of communications marketing best practices;
  • Familiar with web publishing requirements, SEO and web traffic metrics;
  • A minimum of two years experience with event and marketing platforms;
  • Confident in Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Experience in using Salesforce or other customer relationship management platform;
  • Experience in social media platforms and social media advertising;
  • Proven skills in content marketing, communications planning and project management;
  • Experience in audience profiling and developing content for the right channel to reach the right audience;
  • A strong critical thinker, you are able to analyze and synthesize complex material into interesting marketable content;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, team player and demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders;
  • A capacity to work well under pressure and respond effectively in a demanding and fastpaced environment;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
  • Salary Range

Based on qualifications and experience:
$63,751 and $79,68- Payments Meets Purpose - What you can expect from us

  • Flexible hybrid (remote/office) environment;
  • Competitive compensation package, including annual variable bonus and defined contribution pension plan with employer matching percentage (if eligible);
