Description
Key Responsibilities- Project monitoring and consolidated reporting including but not limited to:
- Cost (budgets, forecasts, incurred, commitments, variances)
- Progress reports (planned, actual & forecast)
- Key performance indicator (KPI) reports (ie. key commodities installed, schedule performance index (SPI), cost performance index (CPI), earned value (EV), planned value (PV)
- Change management (internal budget, scope and schedule changes)
- Project manhours & manpower (planned, actual & forecast) reports
- Risk management
- Project monitoring and consolidated reporting including but not limited to:
- Management of master cost and progress tracking tools
- Lead the monthly accrual process for Capital Projects
- Chair cost updates, risk and progress meetings with pertinent project team members
- Support the capital project supply chain team for RFP, RFQ and contractor change management (budget and forecast verification and updates, rules of credit development etc.)
- Maintain project risk, issue and opportunities registers ensuring that actions and decisions are recorded and addressed, following project processes
- Other tasks as assigned by Project Controls Lead
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a project environment with a finance and/or engineering background
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong Mirosoft Ofice skills, with indepth knowledge and skill level in Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and business acumen
- Ability to prepare and present aesthetically pleasing project presentations for various audiences from project team members to the Board of Directors
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Good judgement, critical thinking and problemsolving skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated success in building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the local community, indigenous groups, employees, colleagues and service providers/ contractors
- Preference will be given to those applicants with a Degree in Business, Engineering or other related fields
- PMP and/or AACE designation considered an asset
- Knowledge and experience using SAP would be an asset
- Experience in ARES, PRISM, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Power BI all considered to be assets
- Successful completion of preplacement functional screen
- Provide proof of a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
- Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements
