- assisting the Operations Leader-Processing with the effective operation of the Processing Department in all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and employee relations,
- ensuring machine efficiency and quality standards are met or exceeded and the product meets customer specifications
Specifically, you will:
- monitor processes and controls documenting performance in all processing operational areas including wastewater and scale house
- perform setup of processing equipment, support and assist with preventative maintenance
- deliver job task training
- lead and participate in sanitation processes to ensure all processing equipment is cleaned and sanitized regularly to HACCP and Food Safety specifications
- be actively engaged in continuous improvement initiatives
- support regrade, packaging operations, regular maintenance, and projects as assigned during off-season periods
You will report to the Operations Manager and join a team that provides a safe, enjoyable employee experience which fosters engaged and accountable team members who prioritize Customer Satisfaction through a commitment to delivering on time, and at the correct quantity, a safe, quality product.
You will bring the following to the business:
- Background in a related discipline or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to engage people in a collaborative people driven environment
- Effective communication skills in order to encourage solution based outcomes
- Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP's and food plant sanitation
- Ability to develop best practices that improve plant efficiencies and effectiveness
