RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Under the direction of the Director of Operations, supervise a team of warehouse employees and drivers, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and termination
  • Ensure that all personnel have the right tools, information and knowledge in order to work safely and effectively, serve our customers and uphold the company objectives.
  • Identify inefficient practices and make changes accordingly to ensure smooth work flow procedures that are effective and efficient
  • Support entering orders and quotes, supporting Counter sales
  • Ensure vehicle maintenance and overall safety of vehicles is up to date and meets MTO requirements including loading standards and load securement.
  • Collaborate Business managers to ensure targets are being met and sales/growth targets are being met
  • Working jointly with branch team members to ensure that product deliveries are on time and in the most costeffective manner Inventory Control and accuracy.
  • Be a Leader, carrying out responsibilities and Company Values in accordance with the organization's policies, culture and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure scheduling for all areas meets business requirements, approve time away from work and weekly hours worked.
  • Ensure that all branch employees work in a safe environment and that every necessary precaution is taken. All personnel must understand safe working practices and know the necessary procedure to take if accidents do occur.
  • Set an example by following all company procedures and policies.
  • Effective Inventory management, working with the Director of Procurement to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Ensure the branch meets or exceeds the service expectations of it's customers.
  • Inventory management working with Division Managers
