Emergency Manager - Gatineau, Canada - First Onsite

Position Summary:
The Emergency Manager supports the emergency response and restoration projects to ensure the goals and needs of the insurance companies and our customers are being met.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees emergency projects to ensure quality and service delivery.
- Confirms emergency scope of work including mitigation possibilities with Emergency Supervisor/Project Manager on site.
- Communicates the extent of damage and scope of emergency work to the insurance company or independent adjuster when required.
- Deploys the best quality team and selects subtrades when required for emergencies.
- Manages and supervises emergency and contents crew while on an emergency job site.
- Practices the company Standard Operating Procedures for water remediation, mold, and Asbestos.
- Work activities may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School graduate or equivalent.
- IICRC Certification
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the restoration/emergency industry
- Must have experience leading and managing a team
- Proficient in Demos and strip outs
- Ability to use the moisture reading instruments for correct and thorough moisture investigation and reporting.
- Knowledge of the capability and limitations of all equipment used in waterdamaged environments.
