Join the Multi-Unit Risk Management, Strategy and Products Team in the Specialist, Quantitative Analysis position. You will be responsible for structuring all of the data analysis supporting CMHC's Multi-Unit Strategy and Product Development.

In addition, you will drive insight and discovery through the right combination of quantitative techniques, analytical expertise using a variety of technologies while ensuring integrity and accuracy of data.

You will also deliver results through appropriate channels and communicating results to relevant business audiences.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and structure the data to perform strategy analyses, liaising with stakeholders and converting the business needs into strategic analytical requirements while selecting the appropriate tools, methodologies and strategies that translate and interpret data into valuable business strategy insights.
  • Employ qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, including scenario building, modelling of alternatives, etc., to provide assessments of strategy options and expected outcomes.
  • Develop predictive models and analyze program, product and/or service performance with a variety of analytical tools.
  • Develop indicators, scorecards and dashboards from environmental scanning, research and benchmarking exercises.
  • Create opportunities to improve report delivery including automation and selfservice approaches.
  • Manipulate and analyze large datasets while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, economics, commerce, computer science, engineering or business intelligence.
  • Expertize in the standard Microsoft suite, SAS and other tools such as open source tools (R, Python) and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Minimum of five years of prior relevant experience.
  • Sound analytical skills with demonstrated quantitative/qualitative analytical and problemsolving skills to capture and synthesize information and develop recommendations and provide advice.
  • Developed communication skills and the ability to make clear and concise presentations for decisionmaking.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to build models required to understand issues at a detail level and forecast impacts of change.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience using Databricks will be considered an asset.
