Your Role and Responsibilities
**_

Job Purpose:
_**Provide support to the Advanced Engineering team to build Marwood capital equipment

**_

Responsibilities:
_**- Provide support to the advanced manufacturing team to build Marwood capital equipment.

  • Assists in developing assembly processes that satisfy all internal and external customer requirements using existing process standards and outside processing requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for robotic and mechanical component selection during design of automated system
  • Working with the advanced engineering group preproduction builds.
  • Interact with Marwood manufacturing plants and product development teams
  • Participate in design team reviews to ensure that design controls are effective and follow Marwood standards
  • Assist in initial tooling setup and final shim logs prior to handing over to production
  • Assist with manufacturing and maintenance to help coverage during the startup of new cells / equipment
  • Assist with manufacturing and maintenance to help coverage during the startup of new cells/equipment
  • Assists in developing a process that satisfies all requirements using existing process standards, and proposed manufacturing process capacities, throughputs and efficiencies
  • Assist continuous improvement initiatives within the plants to improves the processes, reduce costs and increase plant capacity
  • Assist with and/or mentoring of Marwood employees within related departments
  • Build/assemble new cells for production
  • Rebuild / repurpose existing production equipment to comply with Marwood Health and Safety.
  • Install mechanical systems as they relate to tooling integration and equipment cell builds.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities within as required.

_ Key Requirements__:
_**- Completion of college in a related field of study

  • Ability to use Solidworks and AutoCAD design softwares
  • Licensed Millwright or Machinist
  • Able to use tools/equipment related to millwright or machinist trade
  • Able to read drawings
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Capable of being a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative
  • Ability to work with little supervision and to make sound judgment on prioritizing work
  • Demonstrable ability to meet timelines
