Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager, the purpose of this position is to direct and manage the warehouse activities and some delivery operations to support the strategic and financial objectives of Ariva while ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.


Duties of this position include, but are not limited to**:

  • Accomplish human resource objectives by selecting on-boarding, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through the strict adherence of Company policies and procedures as well as participation in workplace investigations and workplace inspections.
  • Communicate performance expectations and ensure productivity standards are met.
  • Audit the accuracy and quality of orders prior to delivery.
  • Manage the SAP operation monitor by assigning employee's their daily tasks in SAP.
  • Manage the country shipping.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Customer Care team as well as Sales Representatives concerning timelines for future deliveries;
  • Continuously review processes and procedures recommend potential business improvement actions.
  • Ensure that the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement are adhered to;

The Successful Incumbent will have:


  • Postsecondary education;
  • 35 years of supervisory experience in the distribution industry;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills;
  • Collaborative, team player with an upbeat and positive attitude;


  • Computer literacy required

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP knowledge an asset;
  • Competencies/skills including coaching/development, leadership/team builder, change management, problem solving, strategic planning, analytical and organization;
  • Respect for company values: agile, caring, innovative.
