WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • If you enjoy a nonstop day and are interested in agriculture, then we can't wait to talk to you We are looking for a Plant Manager who can balance the supervision of staff with coordinating operations at a grain elevator, as well as be ready to jump on a forklift or bobcat when needed.
  • Some of your key functions include:
  • Supervising operational staff, including scheduling and regular coaching.
  • Purchase grain delivery into company facilities and direct delivery markets.
  • Coordinating operations at the location, including shipping and receiving products and services, delivering and manufacturing of product.
  • Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance and/or security of equipment and machinery.
  • Maintaining the overall appearance of the inside and outside of the premises in a professional and organized manner to promote and enhance the image of the Company.
  • Performing operational tasks along with staff, such as loading and unloading, operating plant equipment, mixing and delivering crop inputs/fertilizer.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Normally requires a high school diploma.
  • Leadership and team building skills.
  • Ability to work with office computer programs, such as inventory systems, electronic mail, internet/intranet.
  • Strong reasoning and problemsolving skills to handle customer inquiries, operational issues, and supervise staff.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, a driving abstract that represents a history of safe operation, as well as the ability to maintain insurability.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Agriculture experience is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, during peak seasons.
  • Indoor/Outdoor working conditions with some lifting and climbing requirements.
