SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE
To contribute to the smooth running of the department by preparation of routine items and assigned tasks to company standards.
MAIN DUTIES
- Prepare food of consistent quality and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per company standards.
- Carry out preparation of food items as per routine task list or as delegated achieving standards laid down by property policy and quantities as applicable to business levels.
- Assist as requested with the receiving/putting away of food items.
- Carry out opening and closing duties applicable to the position.
- Assist with kitchen steward/wash up duties as delegated to maintain the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
