As part of the Physical Resources Directorate and reporting to the Manager, Mechanical Design, the Coordinator, Mechanical Design is responsible for the development and process of mechanical system studies and design and coordination of mechanical renovation and upgrade projects across the University.

Client base encompasses all levels of administration, faculty, staff, and student groups. Coordination of renovation projects involves overseeing work of external contractors, consultants, and speciality vendors. Extensive stakeholder engagement at all levels of the University is required.

Work involves the design and implementation of mechanical alterations ensuring adherence to all applicable legislated codes and standards with oversight of University mechanical design standards and contemporary professional best practices.


The Design, Engineering, and Construction group is comprised of an amazing group of professional designers, project managers, coordinators, and planners.

It is an exciting time to join the team as we work toward the ambitious NetZero by 2040 target as well as numerous other initiatives designed to support the University's mission to Improve Life.
