Job Description:


Responsibilities:


  • Removing snow build up on the ice surface during television timeouts
  • Execute ice maintenance duties (shoveling, skating, repair) with speed, performance and detail
  • Participate in various promotions and activities
  • Act as an ambassador of the Toronto Maple Leafs /Toronto Marlies both at home games and events
  • Set up, execute and tear down all related equipment for ice clearing (shovels, buckets, etc.) in addition to Game Presentation items (equipment, promotional items, etc.) and team wrap up meeting is completed
  • Enthusiastically give away prizes throughout the game
  • Professionally represent the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, and MLSE
  • Work diligently to ensure the safety of self and others at all times
  • Provide friendly and informed response to any servicerelated issue/inquiry
  • Communicate positively and professionally with MLSE staff and fans
  • Adhere to all MLSE service standards and policies including working in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

Qualifications:


  • Strong skating ability is a requirement
  • Available to work at least 60% of Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies home games
  • Hockey skates are a requirement (please note figure skates are NOT permitted)
  • Able to take direction and show initiative in a fastpaced environment
  • Comfortable leading groups of all ages
  • Solid knowledge of the game of hockey and Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies is an asset
  • Must be flexible to work weekday shifts as early as 5:00 pm, as well as weekends and/or holidays both day and/or evening shifts staying until the end of the games
  • Enthusiastic and professional team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A positive, winning approach, incorporating integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
