Document Controller - Burlington, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity

What will you do?

Your day to day:

  • Track document dates and maintain an Excel database of those dates.
  • Print full size drawings and deliver them to assigned departments.
  • Scan full size drawings and save them in a PDF drawing repository.
  • Scan and verify the accuracy of large quality documentation packages.
  • Sort, organize and forward various supplier electronic documents and send them to QA representatives.
  • Support preparation of presentation materials via Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Other administrativesupport duties as required.
  • The general hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:00 am to 5:15 pm, Fridays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Very rare but occasional overtime is required.

What will you bring?

Who you are:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an office environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience and comfort with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Nuance.

Preferred:

  • Successful completion of a postsecondary diploma/degree in a relevant field.
  • Training related to document control.
  • Related experience in a relevant field.
  • This is a detailoriented position that will require a solid background in the use of computers, printers, and scanners. You will be a selfstarter working in a professional office environment.
