Description

Thornhill Child Care Society is looking to hire an Education Assistant for an early childhood classroom located in our brand new ELCC Center in the
community of Ogden.

These positions are contracted from the hire date until June 2023. Hours will be 3 hours daily Monday through Friday.

General responsibilities:

To work one to one with children with various developmental delays, diagnoses and or disorders
Provide direct implementation of strategies from the child's IPP
Provide support to all classroom educators
Develop and assist in the creation of all support materials required
Consult and collaborate with PUF team
Attend IPP meetings as requested
Write daily session notes

Qualifications**:

Completing or completed diploma or degree in a related field or similar combined education and experience*
Experience working with children with special needs is an asset
Clear police information check, clean vulnerable sector search and valid first aid with child and infant CPR

Job Type:
Part-time

Salary:
From $24.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

French not required
