    Clerical Assistant Clinics Home Dialysis (Job ID: 4450)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting directly to the Clinical Leader/Manager, the Clerical Assistant will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative, clerical and receptionist duties in the Home Dialysis Clinic. Functioning as an integral part of the health care team and front line worker, you will be accountable for:

    • Scheduling outpatient appointments and procedures and follow-up appointments
    • Prepare and manage follow up clinic appointments
    • Liaising with various hospital departments such as labs, medical imaging, medical records, etc. to exchange information and to resolve issues;
    • Managing phone calls, greeting and receiving patients and family members and registration of patient's data into hospital computer system;
    • Participates in quality improvement initiatives;
    • Data collection and data entry, daily reports and reconciliation, using MS Excel.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of a recognized Office Administration program or equivalent experience
    • Medical Terminology certificate required
    • Previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting
    • Software Applications; Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, ADT, MS4, Zoom
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Good judgment and discretion
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Highly organized and efficient time manager with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Excellent problem solving abilities
    • Flexibility in rotating job assignments
    • Excellent attendance and punctuality record

    This staff will be expected to work at both the 30 Bond St. and 45 Overlea sites.
