By working in our Active Living Department, you can help create memorable experiences for our seniors and improve their quality of life.

For seniors at Revera, recreation can spark joy and a renewed sense of purpose.

Reporting to the Director of Active Living, you will help plan, organize and deliver programs to meet our resident's physical, social, intellectual and spiritual needs.

Programs may include; fitness classes, social activities, educational lectures, community outings and special events.

You will assist in designing and leading new and inspiring monthly programs to meet the needs and interests of our residents and keep them engaged in their community.


The Activity Assistant position is currently 24 hours per week with flexible days of work, includes family coverage for extended health benefits, chef prepared meal daily and onsite parking.

Wage $ $22.10/hr. Onsite Training, Career Advancement Opportunities and Revera University Courses Available.


Qualifications:


  • An energetic and compassionate person with a strong desire to work with our seniors and make a difference in their day to day living
  • Experience and comfort leading a small to medium sized group
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs such as; Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher
  • Self motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Check
  • Ability to obtain: Serving it Right, Standard First Aid & CPR, Food Safe certifications
  • A Diploma in Recreation or a related field is an asset
  • Valid provincial Drivers License
  • Class 4 is an asset
  • Vaccines are a proven, safe and powerful weapon in our battle against COVID19.
