Job Summary
The Regional Learning Quality Specialist is a key member of our team responsible for training development and delivery, project management and facilitation.
Possible Work Locations:
Gander ACC, Moncton ACC, Montreal ACC, National Capital Region (Ottawa), Toronto ACC, Winnipeg ACC, Edmonton ACC, Vancouver ACC.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver training using the systems approach to training in accordance with NAV CANADA policies.
- Provide academic counselling to student trainees and facilitate a positive learning environment
- Coach instructors on effective adult training practices and on coaching techniques
- Evaluate training activities including needs analysis, design, development, and delivery, and operational training products
- Research new and effective adult training practices to enhance NAV CANADA's operational training initiatives
Education:
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Education or in a related field of study
Experience:
- Coaching and training delivery experience
- Experience in facilitating groups
- Experience in managing projects
- Experience in the development of technical training using the systems approach to training, ADDIE, or comparable training development model
- Experience in supporting training development teams
- Indepth knowledge of the Systems Approach to Training and/or ADDIE
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, e. g., Word, Excel, Power Point
- Knowledge of project management tools and processes
- Knowledge of adult training principles
- Knowledge of training evaluation processes to measure learning and to validate training design
- Ability to provide educational consultation services to staff involved in operational training regarding the identification of learning challenges, implementation of learning solutions, and learning/training preferences/approaches
- Ability to plan, organize and manage training projects from task analysis to implementation
- Ability to lead project teams in needs identification, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and validation
- Ability to coach a multifunctional team
- Ability to analyse problems and determine root cause
- Work well independently, and in teams by displaying flexibility and openness when dealing with others
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills through effective communication
- Takes independent action and initiative to create opportunities or resolve/prevent problems
Flexible work arrangements (Flex onsite):
- This position is based at one of the hiring locations but may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
