MARU Japanese Bistro is looking for a Busser to join our team in Toronto, ON.
As a Busser, you will be responsible for assisting our chefs with their daily tasks. You are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.


Duties:


Assist server with preparation of food orders

  • Pack food orders into boxes or bags for delivery to customers
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Ensure all food orders are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Communicate with customers to ensure they receive the food they have ordered (on time)
  • Keeps kitchen and other work area clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Experience:


High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

  • Previous experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with good attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours per day (for 23 days per week)
  • Must have forklift experience (highly preferred)

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
$15.50-$16.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON M4L 1C9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- restaurant: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
