This is an exciting opportunity to join Cookin, a purpose-driven, rapid growth company that is poised for global growth and success as a summer intern.

The Business Strategy & Operations team is responsible for making our products come to life and growing the Cookin business.

From optimizing our ever expanding marketplace, to experimenting on how best to create platform stickiness, we're constantly developing innovative solutions to keep people eating great meals.

As a Business Strategy and Operations Intern and reporting to Cookin's Director of Operations, key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and assessing additional useful platform tools for food creators and liaising internally and externally with cross functional stakeholders including Cookin food creators, delivery providers, and our technical team
  • Conducting research with customer base, as well as, individuals who have a high usage of food delivery in Toronto to understand their pain points.
  • Conducting, transcribing, coding, and analyzing business data.
  • Developing financial models for fundraising and additional cities
  • Expansion analyses to assess and help launch growth avenues
  • Assessment and analysis of current business performance, using data to drive forward on action items
  • Support on technical product: Creating and managing Cook profiles including menus and bios, and help developing code for the Cook app using Javascript & SQL, training new cooks on the Cook App

  • Help Us Grow While You Grow Too: Growing our business requires a lot of dedication and an entrepreneur mentality. You will work closely across the organization to build and launch initiatives, troubleshoot and improve processes.
  • You will have the opportunity to manage stakeholders and collaborate across the organization in order to reach the business goal for your initiatives

What we are looking for:

  • Desire to pursue a career in business strategy and business operations
  • Currently pursuing a Business degree at an accredited Canadian institution
  • Strong Excel / data management capabilities
  • CRM familiarity
  • Excitement and passion for food
  • Selfstarter, and proactive worker with the ability to take on new projects and work with little supervision
  • Ambition, an entrepreneurial mindset and a cando attitude,
  • Oral and written fluency in English; nice to have SQL experience
  • Role is in person at the Cookin office in Downtown Toronto
  • Flexible Summer Start date. Ideally May
  • August months)
  • 40 hours a week/ either coop or internship available
