The Senior Analyst, Data Management & Reporting provides support in the preparation of data and maintenance of technology components of the IB Finance FP&A suite of reports.
Accountabilities:
- Defines business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing, and documenting business processes and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Elicits requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
- Support in data management activities related to Finance FP&A such as data mapping, data quality/integrity testing, data analytics and data governance.
- Supports/manages special project work and adhoc inquiries/requests.
- Experience in analytical problemsolving. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation.
- Able to identify and synthesize business challenges and opportunities and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas both verbally and in writing, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect and interpersonal skills.
- Actively seeks and evaluates opportunities to improve existing processes and works with key stakeholders to implement changes as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for increased efficiency through automation and systems improvements; increases departmental knowledge through training and crosstraining.
- Ad Hoc Analyses
- Develop ad hoc analyses to address key business issues as they arise using Excel
- Create and maintain accurate documentation related to business solutions, including specifications, data lineage, technical and business definitions for metrics, and test plan/test cases.
- Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience will be an asset
- Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills verbal and written.
- Have demonstrated an aptitude in learning and growing their technical skills (e.g. Excel, SQL,VBA and/or Python).
- Advanced knowledge of data management, aggregation, and analysis techniques
- Strong Analytical & Problemsolving skills
- Ability to foster teamwork, lead with little direction, comfortable in ambiguous environments, innovative and capable of analytical thinking and problem solving, taking a logical approach to simplify complex problems
- Indepth / Expert level data driven decision making
