  • As the Manager, Allocations, you play a critical role in bringing Arc'teryx product to market and you lead a diverse and impactful team. Together with your team, you ensure that inventory reaches our retail brand stores, factory outlets and wholesale partners at the right time, in line with our product marketing calendar and inventory flow plans.

  • The Merchandise Planning & Allocations team is a cross functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks by finding the balance, between the right product, at the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time.

If you were in the Manager, Allocations position now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Building, coaching and developing a high performing Allocations team that manages all phases of product movement from initial drop through to store consolidation
  • Developing and monitoring performance objectives to ensure product allocation and replenishment strategy are in alignment with business needs and company strategic goals
  • Regularly evaluating and evolving our replenishment strategy as business needs shift
  • Collaborating closely with the Merchandise Planning and Global Merchandising teams to ensure that the product assortment is delivered and accurately matches the planned flow
  • Collaborating closely with the Operational Solutions teams on short to mediumterm process improvement projects to reinforce a world class guest experience
  • Managing monthly drop review process, including stage gate development, communication, crossfunctional partner enrollment and delivery of accurate reporting
  • Leveraging reporting tools to analyze, identify, and communicate risks to the order book (product shortages, order maintenance, substitution strategies, shipping delays, and production delays)
  • Travelling to Brand Stores quarterly for market insights, new store opening support, project testing and time onfloor
  • Maintaining alignment with the Manager, Wholesale Allocations across channels throughout the year
  • Collaborating with the Manager, Inventory and Exit strategy to develop, plan and lead the inventory management strategies for brand stores, factory outlets and B2B customers, including seasonal allocation, replenishment, carryover plan and end of product lifecycle
  • Collaborating with regional teams on forecasting revenue by channel and quantities by Distribution Center
  • Upholding Fair Labour Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Developing new methodologies and continuously evolving key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure we have a deep understanding of our inventory health
  • Partnering with our Product Operations Business Process team to conduct a fit gap analysis of the current replenishment tool then select and implement new tool
  • Partnering with our Distribution & Transportation teams to create and evolve best practices
  • Partnering with our Information Systems teams to build tools and validate data that supports effective and efficient growth of the Arc'teryx business
  • Supporting the Retail Merchandising team to troubleshoot inventory management issues

Are you our next Manager, Allocations?:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in an allocations or inventory management role in a direct to consumer/vertical retail business environment, including 2+ years leading teams
  • You have the ability to gather, digest and analyze data, and from it, create an action plan
  • You have strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills, and are able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions
  • You know how to evolve internal processes and gain momentum to make change happen
  • You can identify and articulate the processes necessary to get things done efficiently and effectively
  • You are able to manage expectations at all levels of the organization
  • You know how to influence and prioritize, presenting ideas that lead others to action
