Role Purpose:To direct the day to day activities of the production department at the Blenheim facility of Woodbridge. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports include Production Supervisors.

Responsibilities:

Educate team and drive lean concepts and WPS using toolbox.
Drive out waste through VSM, 5Q or LTR activities
Member of management team responsible for planning, health, safety and environment, budgeting and implementing TQM and best methods
Ensure production schedules and quality requirements are met
Review all aspects of departmental performance with respect to budget, finance plan, plant operating goals, develop continuous improvement plans
Develop supervisors reporting to this role
Foster a cohesive team environment that promotes opportunity and harmony
Ensure working in compliance of legislation and collective agreement.

Qualifications:

College/University graduate in Industrial Engineering or Business
35 Years of experience in a management role in manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Superior problem solving and organizational skills
