Food Bank Manager


Location:
Burlington, Ontario


Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including weekends/evenings as needed)

We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate Food Bank Manager to lead our efforts in providing essential resources and fostering community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Food Bank Manager, you'll be at the heart of our mission. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, collaborate with local partners, manage resources, and champion community engagement.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Operations Management: Efficiently manage the food bank's daily operations, ensuring smooth food distribution and inventory control.

Financial Management: Prepare budgets, track donations, and seek funding opportunities through grants and partnerships.

Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Staff and Volunteer Coordination:Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

Team Leadership & Community Engagement:Recruit and train team members, engage with the community, and develop strong relationships.

Program Delivery and Client Services: Ensure respectful and fair food distribution to those in need, working closely with partner organizations.

Outreach and Advocacy:Advocate for hunger-related issues and collaborate with local government and advocacy groups.

Brand Promotion: Enhance the visibility and reputation of the Burlington Food Bank through engagement and storytelling.


To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in nonprofit management, food distribution, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problemsolving skills and adaptability in changing situations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.

$62,000.00-$70,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:


  • Supervising: 3 years (required)
  • Food handling: 3 years (required)
