  • In this role, you will:_
  • Ensure the Project Risk Picture is representative of the risk facing the Extended Docking Word Period (EDWP) for the submarine program.

You will do this by:

  • Ensuring that the Risk Structure is fit for purpose, always looking for ways to improve the techniques employed in identifying and managing risk.
  • Putting processes in place to identify risks and hazards resulting from the work the EDWP Project is engaged with.
  • Managing the information in the corporate risk tool (risk register) to ensure it is reflective of reality and ensure actions necessary to mitigate risks are carried out.
  • Routinely train members of the Project Team in Risk management and the use of the risk tool.
  • Acting as the meeting facilitator for scheduled biweekly strategic Project risk reviews.
  • Ensuring the reporting products are fit for the governance functions they are used for and provide monthly summary reports for customer meetings.
  • Provide support to Schedule Time-RiskAnalysis (TRA) as required including collection of relevant risks for analysis, triage, and aid upload into Primavera (P6).
  • Act as a member of the Risk Committee Steering Group and provide input into the overall company risk picture.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in Project Management or a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Risk Management, Performance Management or Organisational Improvement.
  • Postsecondary education in Business, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • You are adaptable and can quickly adjust to changing priorities.
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple tasks at the same time with the followthrough to see a task through to completion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills and previous experience in project or program coordination or operations management.
  • Selfdriven work as well as driving and motivating others to perform to targets.
  • Must be fully conversant in the use of Microsoft Products.
  • Familiarity with the Department of National Defence or the Defence Industry in Canada is an asset.
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
