Description

As a Field Technician you will perform on-site installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer equipment and printers to assure customer satisfaction.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor work load and prioritize service tickets
  • Travel in your company van to various customer locations
  • Troubleshoot customer problems, diagnose, resolve and/or escalate problems
  • Communicate with other internal groups to resolve issues
  • Train/share knowledge with other associates
  • Administrative duties include submission of reports as needed
  • Use of time for learning, growth and development

Working Conditions:

  • Drive company cars/vans a significant part of the day (sitting an average of 24 hours, occasionally up to 6 hours)
  • Occasional prolonged standing up to 8 hours a day
  • Frequent lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs. (36 hours a day)
  • Lifting and carrying items potentially 80 lbs. (up to 3 hours a day)
  • Pushing/pulling up to 200 lbs. (up to 3 hours a day)

Prior Experience:

  • Previous electronics experience or training required
  • Excellent communication skills, organized and personable
  • Must be able to attend a 6week paid training class in the United States
  • Willing to travel extensively with good driving history and availability 24/
  • Tech school, previous technical work experience a plus
  • A+ certification and experience with LAN/WAN is preferred

Requirements:


  • A+ certified is a plus
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to understand and work with all PC based products and the indepth knowledge of networks and related components
  • Able to install all related hardware components and train customers on products
  • Knowledge of the Unix operating system and commands

Training:

4-5 weeks paid training course in College Station, Texas, US.

The training is primarily a hands-on familiarization course of the equipment at customer sites and will also teach our policies and procedures.
