  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of experiential learning, inquiry pedagogy, inclusive schooling principles
  • A deep understanding of the importance of indigenizing of pedagogy
  • Knowledge of or willingness to become familiar with the NWT curriculum(s).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and to build positive relationships
  • Proven experience working with students in an organized setting
  • Experience in providing professional development
  • Understanding of strategic planning using a district visions as the foundation
  • Experience in evaluating staff in a way that promotes growth and development
  • Understanding of professionalism and positive experience demonstrating this ability
